Guardian homes

What first attracted me to breeding doodles is that future Mamas were not simply selected for desirable physical characteristics as with other breeds, but for health and temperament foremost.  In following this model we've had exceptional doodle puppies over the years!  Sadly however, I just can't have all potential future Mamas living with me -

so I look for guardian families for my extraordinary girls.

What is a guardian home?

Being a guardian family means that you would take your puppy home as usual, with the understanding that the puppy is co-owned with the breeder for a maximum period of 5 years (we don't breed after her 6th birthday) or three litters; should we decide to breed her.  After this time, all ownership rights are signed over to you!

How does it work?

Guardians are given a discount on the puppy upon receipt, and the breeder will pay the

co-owner a set amount for each / any future litter(s) the puppy may have.  All breeding expenses

and costs are covered by the breeder.

Guardianship Responsibilities

Guardian families must live within one hour of St Margarets Bay, and be willing to drive puppy

for possible dates and appointments regarding breeding and whelping.  Families will be

responsible to keep the puppy up to date with regular vet checks, vaccinations, etc.

How do i apply?

We usually look for only one or two guardian families per year, so if being a guardian home

interests you, please fill out a puppy application form and send me an email at sakob@live.com

and tell me why you'd like to participate!
